Christmas Ornament and Card

Here's a cute little paper ornament I made that I will be attaching to a card. The ornament will be removable in order for recipient to use.

For this ornament I used patterned paper, a scallop punch, TOMBO glue, jewelry wire, and ribbon.

As soon as I finish the card I will upload it for you to see. Until next time, be good crafters and create something that makes you smile! TTFN!

PK Challenge 27

After creating the ghost, I wondered what to do with him. I saw the PK Challenge and thought, hmmm. Then I came up with this cute ghostly card.
The white cardstock I inked with purple highlights and the ghost is a Peachy Keen Stamp that I colored using chalk then trimmed around the edges. The polka dots are embossed and inked. I enjoyed working on this challenge. Thanks for looking! TTFN!

Monsters in the house!

As I figured, my stamps did arrive and I was able to work on the monsters and a few ghosts. I love the ghosts. The best part is, I got that stamp for FREE! These Peachy Keen Stamp people had a Friday the 13th special. Discount and free stamp! Love it! Makes me want to dig out my stamp collection and start stamping again. Anyhow...back to why we are here...monsters! Here they are in all their cuteness. Enjoy and until next time, be good crafters! TTFN

Halloween Fun Has Begun

As I patiently wait for my stamps to arrive...so I can create those cute monsters, I decided to create a different Halloween card using OWH's challenge for the week. The stamps from Peachy Keen should arrive today. Usually delivery is pretty quick, I was quite surprised when they were not in yesterday's mail. Today, today. Until then, I have this creation for you.
Be good crafters.

Christmas In July

Since it is Christmas in July in my house right now (minus the tree), I figured I'd get a start on what Christmas card I'm mailing out this Christmas. With months to go, I should be able to make all that I'll need, plus continue to work on cards for OWH.

And since in the blog world I can enter Christmas in July challenges, this works out perfectly.

Merry Christmas!

Don't have a cow...or two.

So...I bought those ever so cute Peachy Keen stamps for the Create A Critter Cricut cartridge and couldn't wait to try them out. However, something just isn't right and I'm about to have a cow over it.

I used my Gypsy for ease of all on one mat and knowing where stuff would be cut. Kept my images GROUPED, so when enlarging, the pieces would be the accurate size for ALL of the layers. Placed the images according to color on the mat and when the time was right (DD up from nap), started the cutting process.

Well, here's where I have a cow...or, realistically, don't have two cows because those pieces that should have layered up ever so nicely...FAIL! They don't line up! What is up with that? Ugh!

And then, everything was supposed to be "peachy keen" with just stamping a cute face on, but that didn't seem to work out right either. What am I missing here?

Out come the scissors so I can start cutting away part of one cow because I'm determined to make it work, one way or another. And I'm left with a cow I may be able to work with.

Hopefully once DD goes down for tonight, I'll be able to chalk the cow and see if I can have a cow and smile, instead of having a cow. Until next time, be good crafters...TTFN

Edited to add a finished picture. Success with the cows! After some trimming and a few additions, I think these cows are cute...yep, I'm smiling! I hope you are too!

Follow my blog so you don't miss my next creation...MONSTERS! Until then...

Did she use a Cricut to make this? Yes, AND then some!

Happy Monday! A neighbor asked if I would create a card for a bridal shower that she had to attend. I got out my Gypsy and got to creating. After finding the perfect bride, I started thinking about the rest of the card. I ended up using transparent paper to stick the bride on and stuck that to a sheet I printed out (using my computer) of the typical wedding vows. I was liking it. My first attempt at this type of card, and I felt like I succeeded so I handed it off to my neighbor.

Since then, I have been waiting to hear how the shower went and if my card was well received. Well, my neighbor has reported that the bride-to-be loved it. It got held up, for all to see with the question, "Did she use a Cricut to make this?" and with comments such as, "What a wonderful card to get my own ideas from!"

That being said, I now have a smile on my face. So, here it is...maybe it will give you some ideas and put a smile on your face today too! TTFN

Operation OWH

Operation Operation Write Home is my current focus when it comes to creating cards these days. The men and women serving our country deserve some cards to write home on. It's the least I can do to support them. They do so much for us!

My current goal is creating a card a day. These are a few of my latest creations that I'm looking forward to sending to Sandy at OWH once I create a months worth of cards.

Once in a blue moon I get these wild ideas that put a smile on my face...I'm hoping my cards will put smiles on the faces of those who send and receive the cards I create! Until next time...TTFN!

Wait, What? Really?

Once in a blue moon I get these wild ideas of doing something. This time, it was entering our county fair's arts and crafts scrapbook, cards, and stamping division for this years fair. Making this decision with only hours left to register, I jumped on my computer and registered myself to enter four cards.

Wait, what? I have 3 weeks to come up with and create four cards...what was I thinking? So, two Christmas cards, one party card, and one 2012 Fair theme card. Fair theme this year is Home Sweet Home. Okay, I can do this...can't I?

I created the cards and was really happy with three of the four. And the day came to deliver them. I had no clue how easy this next part was going to be...I imagined waiting in a line for hours when in reality it went really well. All of 10 minutes max to turn everything in. That was easy!

Fair opened yesterday, but my family couldn't go. Today though, we did. On the way there I kept telling myself that I must not be disappointed if I didn't get a ribbon. Well, we walked through the gate and I told my hubby I had to go see my cards before doing anything else. So, we did.

Wait, what? Really? OMG! One of my cards got 2nd place! It was the Fair theme Home Sweet Home card! I couldn't believe it!

Once in a Blue Moon, I get these wild ideas that leave me smiling! I hope you do too! TTFN
